Dentists & Dental Practices

What message does your office convey when patients or potential patients call?
At On Hold Marketing and Communications, we will work with you to create a Dentist On Hold message that focuses on the core philosophy of your practice.

For nearly 20 years, On Hold Marketing and Communications has provided on hold messaging services to the dental community. Our experience and accumulated knowledge put us in a unique position to serve your marketing needs.

Here are some important things to think about when designing your on hold marketing campaign:

Cosmetic services have become the corner stone of many dental practices.

Do you feature:

  • In-office or take home whitening
  • Natural Color Fillings
  • Veneers
  • Botox
  • Restylane

Do you:

  • Incorporate Dental Health Education and Incentives
  • Partner with Community Businesses and Associations
  • Offer Seminars on Dental Health Issues

Do you offer options such as:

  • Laser Treatment
  • Nitrous Oxide

Highlight your expertise in procedures that go beyond routine care such as:

  • Root Canals
  • Crowns

And include what makes your practice unique. Are your procedures:

  • Comfortable
  • Pain-Free
  • Performed safely in the minimum amount of time possible
  • Preceded by patient education and then followed up

Reinforce your commitment to promoting excellent dental health by encouraging preventative practices such as:

  • Regular Checkups
  • Annual X-Rays
  • Sealants

The Internet is often the first place people look when deciding on a health care provider. Be sure that your information and "reputation" are easily accessible. Do you have a:

  • Website Presence
  • Facebook Page
  • Blog

Use this "on hold" opportunity to convince callers that they have made the right choice. Talk about:

  • Your Qualified and Courteous Staff
  • Convenient Location
  • Extended Hours
  • Insurance Information
  • State of the Art Equipment and Techniques

Identify what type of practice you have and what special services you provide to the community you serve. Are you a:

  • Family Dentist
  • Pediatric Dentist
  • Orthodontist

Seasonal Marketing Calendar Tips

Please note that the chart below contains calendar specific talking points and ideas. The best results will come when you complete your person to person interview with an On Hold Marketing consultant. You may also change your message more frequently if it better meets your marketing needs. We will take the work off your desk!

Winter

Beginning Jan 1

Happy New Year! Encourage your callers to make it a New Year’s resolution to have the perfect smile. Start the New Year off right with a check up to ensure that your dental health is strong. The beginning of the year is a good time to review your dental insurance and make sure that you are aware of all the dental benefits that you are entitled to.

Spring

Beginning April 1

What products or services do you provide that your patients don’t know about? Is this a good time to tell them about your tooth brightening system or veneer program? Do you offer any alternative types of pain relief that they are not aware of? Think of your On Hold message as an "audio newsletter". Think about highlighting a different product of service each quarter that may cross promote your services. For instance, do your pediatric patients know that you also offer orthodontics?

Summer

Beginning
mid June/early July

Your clients are active in the summer months. Offer them a summer promotion to encourage them to take care of their dental needs. Encourage parents to take care of dental check ups for their children while they’re not busy at school. Offer specials and promotions in order to increase activity during the summer months.

Fall

Beginning
early September

How many people ask you about Halloween candy this time of year. Tell your patients to have fun but eat chocolate that melts--not candy that sticks. Give tips on how they can keep their teeth strong and bright throughout the year. Make sure that your clients know how to reach you during an "off hours" emergency.

Please keep in mind that the aforementioned tips are meant to be a guide.
Every Dentist is completely different and everything from your customer base, location and the owners
